Photo competition within the scope of the exhibition Something Other Than Photography: Photo & Media

Among other things, the exhibition Something Other Than Photography:  Photo & Media at the Edith-Russ-Haus takes a critical stand on excessively and arbitrarily capturing everything visible with the aid of a camera. The theme of our photo competition is therefore Unnoticed|Invisible.

All of those who delight in taking photographs have a month to submit a picture that deals with this theme. The competition allows the use and combination of the entire spectrum of photographic techniques. However, the final product must be submitted as an image file.* It can be sent to <daten@edith-russ-haus.de> between July 15 and August 12.

The file has to comply with the following criteria: JPEG (level 10) format, RGB, Adobe RGB color profile, 8 bits, resolution: 240 ppi, maximum file size: 5 MB

On the occasion of the Night of Museums on September 7, 2013, all of the digital photos that have been submitted will be shown at 9:00 p.m. in the seminar room of the Edith-Russ-Haus, after which the twenty winners will be announced and awarded a prize. In addition, beginning in mid-August it will be possible to cast a vote for an audience prize via the Edith-Russ-Haus facebook page.
