In recent decades, numerous comics and graphic novels have been published in Germany that deal with historical themes. How can the past be translated into drawn images? And what possibilities does the medium of comics have to draw connections to the present and perhaps even the future?
Together with comic artist Elke Renate Steiner, we will take a look at the exhibition When Water Embraces Empty Space and then approach the history of the “Luf Boat” through drawing. Exercises with pencil, fineliner and colors as well as experiments with image sequences prepare us for the creation of individual short comics on the topic.
No previous knowledge is required.
Please register by Wednesday, November 20, 2024 on 0441 235 3557 or at museumsvermittlung(at)stadt-oldenburg.de.
