After a common consideration and discussion of different artistic positions, which deal with media images in very different ways critically (so e.g. also humorously and/or ironically), it is about the practical application. An introduction to simple animation techniques and a selection of current and historical press photographs serve as starting points for an own film production in small groups. Subsequently, topics, concepts and prerequisites for animated film work in a school or extracurricular context will be developed, discussed and debated. On Sunday, a short unit on sound and video editing will follow.

About the lecturers: Christian Gude is a sound artist and teacher, Nanna Lüth is an art educator and heads the pedagogy of the Edith Russ House.
