Online archives are usually notable for having their contents scattered about individual websites: that can make it difficult to find your way around them. Monika Fleischmann and Wolfgang Strauss present web-based platfoms that make archives accessible in simple ways, such as the ‘Digital Sparks Matrix’, in which digital information is spatially staged, as a model for a new approach to accessing databases.
